"A dew drop does the will of God as much as a thunderstorm."

We live in a comparative world, a society of relativity. We have those who have "made it" and those who have not; the skilled, and the mediocre; the successful and the failures. Everywhere you look, you see people aspiring to BE-- to be something more, something greater.
So in a goal-oriented society, there is no wonder why this idea has become so pervasive within the Church. Now don't get me wrong-- I believe that we ought to strive for excellence, for our God is excellent-- but I do find it interesting that, as a byproduct of our ever-aspiring mentality, the Church has become socially stratified.
Who has the "greater anointing"; whose traditions are "right" and whose are "wrong"; who are the "beastiest" musicians; who has the "higher" calling-- from such distractions, we should steer away, for we were each selected by God for a unique purpose. Appropriately, during the Live2Give Tour, such distractions were dismissed and we simply glorified God.
It was Paul who address this very issue in Romans Ch 12 so eloquently.

1. "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" -- Paul reminds the Church of its primary focus: to be acceptable unto the Lord Jesus Christ.
2. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. -- Paul admonishes us not to take on the mindset of the world (i.e. competing against one another), but to take on the mindset of Christ.
3. For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. -- We should not esteem ourselves (or others) so highly, but realize that every gift, every talent, anointing, and ministry that is given unto us is from God.
4. For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: -- God has intentionally given each individual a unique purpose-- not in order to compete with one another, but to work together as members of a single body.
5. So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.-- God wants unity, not competition.

With that being said, The Live2Give Tour is truly a memorial in my Walk with Christ, for unity prevailed. Though only for a brief 3 weeks, Down to Earth, May Nalasa, Hyphen Band and New Movement joined together in unity and, as a result, God moved. Because of our solidarity, the Live2Give tour was able to raise nearly $4,000 for missionaries and something like 6 people were filled with the Holy Spirit. Praise God!
However, there's still more work to do, therefore let us bind together and allow God to use us to our fullest potential.
God Bless You
