This passed Friday completes week 2 of the Live2Give SoCal Benefit Tour. Bands such as Down to Earth, Hyphen Worship Band, New Movement and May Nalasa raised yet another $1,100 for missionaries that evening (there are still 2 tour dates left, you can check out my "current" page for the listings).
At any rate, the night was truly a success as we accomplished what we set out to do: a) to propagate the Gospel and b) to raise money for the missionaries. We had a wonderful time and I personally believe that many left the concert that night impacted.

Yet, no matter how much money we've raised or how many people we've impacted, certainly there is more to do. Reflecting on this passed weekend, it occurred to me that we cannot rely on yesterday's anointing, for we live in the ever-present.
In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus prayed "give us this day our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11). Likewise, we should be praying that same prayer, daily. One cannot eat yesterday's meals. Therefore, yesterday's prayers, blessings, scriptures, and relationship aren't sufficient for today nor were they meant to be. We must continually Walk with Christ, each and everyday.

We cannot grow complacent as the church of the Laodiceans. (Revelations 3:14-19). They were rich and yet wretched, for they did not thirst for righteousness. You could say that they had the best facility, the nicest band, the dopest choir, the most talented preachers and yet, did not have the relationship that God desired for them to have.
The Bible says that they were "lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot" (Rev. 3:15). In other words, they weren't passionate in either direction, but comfortable in their current state. However, we as Christians cannot afford to be comfortable in ministry nor can we be satisfied solely with the gifts that God has given us-- there must be an ever-reaching hand towards Jesus Christ.
Even though we wrap up the Live2Give tour after this Friday and Saturday, the giving does not stop. In fact, it has just begun. From this tour on, let our lives reflect Live2Give, as we give ourselves unto the Lord and unto our brothers and sisters through ministry.
God Bless You,
Tre Michael
