Here's a promotional video for "Doobie Powell The Live Experience DVD." I can't wait until Christmas-- I'll be buying it as soon as possible. There's not much I can say about the video that hasn't already been said in the video- it's just plain nasty. Enjoy!
I'll be leading Mali Music's "Conqueror" for the Gospel Concert @ RAM on Saturday, October 23rd. Apparently someone believes in me because this man's vocals are insane --I truly have my some work cut out. Sheesh! Pray for me in Jesus' name and come out to this free concert! It's going to be SICK, I promise! When: Saturday, Oct. 23rd @ 6pm Where: Rehoboth Apostolic Ministries 4192 Park Ave. Riverside Ca, 92507 Price: Absolutely free I know I've been slacking on the music portion of my blog, but THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR. Apparently YPJ & FVC have released a new album called "Unison" and you have no idea how excited I am. I just finished listening to the album and "Halayloo" was definitely the coldest track. It's a beautiful blend of gospel, jazz, hip hop and fantasy music. In short, It's dooope! Enjoy JoRozier & Unlabeled 's "Majesty" is an awesome praise and worship song that recounts the story of Creation. As my father says, often times we think of Jesus in the context of humility and meekness, but is important to know Him in the splendor of His Majesty. This song reminds me that we serve a Mighty God. Check it out! -Tre Michael Lead vocalist Michael Watson of the Christian rock band Above the Golden State sings "Sound of Your Name" on Air 1 radio. This is a throw back from a couple of years ago, but definitely a song that ought to be revisited. This video is particularly wonderful because the powerful song lyrics can be heard well; there is no band, no lights, no distractions--only he and his guitar. Awesome Song, check it out. Christian artist Mali Music and his band kill this acoustic version of an original called "Back". The song's theme is that of redemption-- the speaker expresses his desire to be back in presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. The nice venue, dope musicians, and the cool, sultry voice of Mali Music make for a pretty cool video. Check it out. Guitar phenom Jairus Mozee produced this cool lil track titled "Thank You Lord". The song is subtly brilliant-- a blend of of hip-hop, soul, and Mayer-esque guitar licks. Most importantly, its an expression of gratitude-- a labor of love-- for the Lord Jesus Christ. This is a must hear for music lover-- definitely one of the coldest joints I've heard. Enjoy "Who Else But God" is a wonderful hymn by Tye Tribbett & GA from their second album "Victory". This song is particularly beautiful because it is describes the many roles that our heavenly Father has taken upon Himself to fulfill in our lives. The question "Who else but God?" functions as a motif-- one that constantly reminds us of the unparalleled Love of God. Smokie Norful is perhaps the most distinguishable artist in Gospel music today. Aside from his phenomenal vocal ability and musicianship, I personally appreciate Smokie for the sincerity of his lyrics. With his testimonial-style song writing, Smokie Norful is set apart from many artists in the Gospel music industry. I believe that as a Christian song writer, one must first have experiences with Christ. In doing so, the song writer's work is then inspired by his or her walk with Christ. I believe that this is the case with Smokie Norful, for his passion for Jesus is expressed so eloquently through his work. I appreciate this man, for he is truly an inspiration in Christian song writing. |
